Hi, I'm new to this forum/website, and I joined because I really need people to talk to about Christianity, etc.

So...my first concern is that, I was starting to hear God's voice, and whenever I trust that it's his voice, whatever he says comes true. For example, he said, "You don't have to d your english presentation if you...." And When I put my trust in him, I really get what I want.

But at times...I struggle whether it's God voice or my own....

So I'd like to request a prayer about this issue...

Yeah I know...this might not be a big deal, but to me it is.

So please pray for me, so I can hear God's voice only, not mine.

Thank You & God Bless.

Lord Jesus, I pray that You reveal yourself to her, and show her Your ways and teach ehr Your paths.Help her to see You in Your word and to feel the Holy Spirit in her, to help her follow Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Hi 94,

My thoughts on the subject are that as with any other relationship in our lives, one is more accute to the sound a someones voice as they spend more time with them and are more familiar with them. As you spend more time in prayer, talking and listening to God,and being open to Him using you for his purposes, you will better hear His voice. Another aspect of this is that as you come to know God more, Paul tells us we will be better able to 'test and approve His perfect will'. The more you know God the more like His will yours will be, and the more you will be able to compare what you know Gods character to be, to what you are hearing. So when you hear 'God' say, "Ignore the problem", "Get drunk and enjoy the night", or, "You don't matter, nobody cares about you", you will know that this does not line up with what you know God's character to be, and therefore you are obviously not hearing God.

But you didn't ask for my thoughts, you asked for my prayer, so I hope this helps;
Lord God, this person has a faith to hear you. Holy Lord help them to draw close to you and seek you in quiet. Lord teach them to know your will and to be open to change in the mind spurred by the Holy Spirit. To your glory, Amen.
